There are just about 127 tons of Russian crude oil in Bulgaria, as it had been imported on the basis of the existing derogation, the Customs Agency reported. The data are from the stock checks carried out on January 1st in "Lukoil Neftohim" - Burgas and in more than 50 warehouses.

The checks were carried out by 150 customs officers under the Restrictive Measures in View of Russia’s Actions Destabilising the Situation in Ukraine Act. In December, the Bulgarian parliament decided to stop the export of oil products from Russian crude on January 1, 2024, as well as to fully stop the import of Russian oil on March 1.
