The 152nd anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest Bulgarian revolutionaries Gotse Delchev was celebrated with a solemn concert and a discussion in Sofia. "After two daughters, a son was born and he was named Georgi. To this day, we know him as a person who loved beauty, culture, a person who understood the world". This was what Gotse Delchev’s relative, conductor Hristo Hristov, said.

In Blagoevgrad, at a ceremony with fiery speeches and offering of flowers in front of the monument of the revolutionary, citizens also honored the anniversary of the birth of Gotse Delchev. He is the main ideologist and activist of the "Bulgarian Macedonia-Edirne Revolutionary Committees", which went down in history with the abbreviation VMORO. He was born on 4 February 1872 in Kukush, then in the Ottoman Empire. He was killed on May 4, 1903 in a battle with Ottoman troops in the village of Banitsa.
