Third-country nationals cannot enter Bulgaria with visas from Cyprus from end of March

As of 31 March 2024, third-country nationals holding national short-stay visas, national long-stay visas and residence permits issued by the authorities of Cyprus will not be able to enter the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria with these documents. The reason for this restriction is that Cyprus is a country that has not yet fully implemented the Schengen acquis, the government press office said.
Bulgaria will enter the Schengen area via air and sea borders from March 31 2024.
