Emergency teams continue to battle wildfires across Bulgaria. The situation in the municipality of Bolyarovo, near the Turkish border, is becoming more complicated. The fire, fanned by strong winds, has reached the village of Voden (Yambol region), where houses and farm buildings have burned down. Residents had to be temporarily evacuated.

More than 10 fire brigades from Yambol, Sliven, Bourgas and Haskovo are on the scene. A helicopter from the Krumovo airbase also joined the firefighters. At the moment there are no reports of injuries.

A partial state of emergency has been declared in the area. On the orders of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, gendarmerie water engines will be used to extinguish the fire in the village area.
