Weather forecast for 23 August

Sunny, with afternoon showers in the east

Friday will be sunny with clouds in the afternoon, especially in the east where there will be showers and thundershowers. Minimum temperatures will be between 16 and 21°C, 16°C in Sofia. Highs will be between 30 and 36°C, 31°C in the capital. 

The Black Sea coast will be sunny before noon. Clouds will develop in the afternoon with occasional showers. Air temperatures will reach 29-31°C. Water temperatures will be 27-29°C. The swell will be 2-3. 

Over the mountains it will be sunny. In the afternoon there will be rain and thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures will reach 26°C at 1,200 m and 19°C at 2,000 m.

Sunny skies are expected on Saturday and Sunday, but in the afternoon clouds will move in over the mountains to the east. Chances of precipitation are low.
