Grigor Dimitrov will play versus qualifier Kyrian Jacquet of France in his first match at the United States Open, which begins on Monday. The Bulgarian is seeded 9 in the last Grand Slam tournament of the year.

He will face the winner of the match between Spain's Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina and Australia's Rinky Hijikata on his way to a better ranking. His eventual opponent in the quarterfinals could be defending champion Novak Djokovic.

Viktoriya Tomova will face world number 30 Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first round of the US Open. The Bulgarian beat her in the year at Roland Garros in Paris. With another success, her possible rivals will be Magda Linette from Poland or the American Iva Jovic, and in the third round - Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus.
