Prime Minister-designate Dimitar Glavchev presented to President Rumen Radev his proposal for lineup of the caretaker cabinet, reported BTA. In Dimitar Glavchev's words, the caretaker government has done well with its main tasks, including organising fair elections.

''As I said last time, there is always room for improvement" noted Dimitar Glavchev. ''This is what we will strive for. The changes I have proposed, in communication with you, are aimed in this direction’’, said Premier-designate Glavchev.

Atanas Ilkov, Director of the General Directorate National Police, has been nominated for the position of Minister of Interior, replacing Kalin Stoyanov. Nearly a week ago, on August 20, Kalin Stoyanov was nominated to head the Ministry of Interior. As a result, President Rumen Radev did not accept the cabinet lineup proposed by Goritsa Kozhareva, who was nominated for caretaker Prime Minister. This led to an extension of the procedure for forming a caretaker government.

Ivan Kondov has been nominated for the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. Krasimira Stoyanova has been nominated for the position of Minister of Transport and Communications, replacing Georgi Gvozdeykov.

For his part, President Rumen Radev accepted the cabinet lineup and announced that on August 27 he will sign a decree appointing the proposed government. ''I expect the caretaker government to be sworn in before the National Assembly the same day", said Rumen Radev.

Dimitar Glavchev added that on Tuesday he would talk to the MPs about the nomination of a Bulgarian Commissioner.
