Bulgarians in North Macedonia need Bulgaria's support, said representatives of the Bulgarian community in Prilep, Struga, Bitola and Kavadarci.

''Since 2021, when anti-Bulgarian rhetoric has reached indecent levels in North Macedonia, it has not even been safe for our Bulgarian compatriots there to communicate with the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad. I'm not saying anything new to any of you, because you are aware of the two brutal cases of violence against people who identified as Bulgarians. We have to communicate with the heads of Bulgarian organizations secretly. We do not insist on meetings, simply because it is not safe for them, Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Executive Director Rayna Mandzhukova told the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee.
