Bulgaria marks the Day of Organic Agriculture. In the EU, just 10.4% of production is organic, and in Bulgaria it is just 2-2.2%, Nadezhda Shopova from the Institute for Climate, Atmosphere and Water Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences told BNR.

In Sofia, a big celebration will be held with Bulgarian organic products, culinary demonstrations and entertainment for the whole family. The event starts 10:00 a.m. and will continue to 5:00 p.m. in Yuzhen Park. More than 30 producers from different parts of the country will present their organic products - dairy and meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables, juices, wine, nuts, honey, chocolates and other delights. For children from 7 to 12 years old, a culinary school for cooking with organic products, led by the famous TV chef Uti Bachvarov, is planned.
