Good neighbourly relations are key to the EU integration of Balkan countries

At the invitation of his German counterpart Annalena Berbock, minister Ivan Kondov participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of the countries of the Berlin Process. At the forum in Berlin, Kondov pointed out the importance of good neighborly relations and the principle of taking into account one's merits in the process of joining the EU. 

He highlighted Sofia's efforts in the field of connectivity as a factor in strengthening the EU on the geopolitical stage. Minister Kondov also highlighted the importance of the regional market as a mechanism for promoting understanding and rapprochement with the EU. The anniversary meeting focused on the successes of the common regional market in the Western Balkans, the work with youth and reconciliation projects, but also drew attention to the need to strengthen good neighbourly relations in the process of European integration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
