At present, there is no information indicating a threat to the security of Bulgarian citizens. However, enhanced security measures have been taken in the country and security has been provided at strategic locations. This was announced after the end of the meeting of the Security Council under the Council of Ministers convened this evening by caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev in connection with the challenges and threats to Bulgaria's national security due to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense, heads of security services and representatives of political parties represented in Parliament.

He also highlighted Bulgaria's swift response in evacuating Bulgarian citizens from Lebanon.
