At a joint press conference in Skopje with North Macedonia’s Premier Hristijan Mickoski, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that Bulgaria’s neighbour must make the expected constitutional changes and to include Bulgarians in its constitution's preamble, the BNR’s correspondent in Brussels Angelina Piskova reported.

The President of the European Commission visited North Macedonia as part of her tour of the Western Balkans. ''Indeed, the constitutional change has to be worked on. For me it is very important. Of course it is in the interest of North Macedonia that we are successful. Therefore I want to reassure you that we will help every step of the way forward to achieve our common goal. And we want to write the next chapter of our common future together", said Ursula von der Leyen.
