New organization for access and stay in front of Terminal 2 at Sofia Airport

From January 9, 2025, every traveler who wants to reach Terminal 2 at Sofia Airport by car will pass through barrier systems that register the license plates of the cars. This was announced by the airport operator SOF Connect.

The new system provides for a "Kiss & Ride" zone (Hug Zone), intended for a short free stay, in which car drivers can drop off or pick up passengers without blocking traffic. 

The free stay there is 10 minutes, exceeding the time limit will be charged: from 11 to 30 minutes - 10 leva, from 31 to 59 minutes - 15 leva, each started hour - 20 leva. The minimum time between two free entries is 60 minutes.

For cars of people with disabilities, an extended free stay of up to 30 minutes is provided.
