Ruse now has the longest wooden pedestrian bridge in Bulgaria. The facility was opened at the end of 2024 in the Lipnik Forest Park. The bridge with a total length of 28 m is equipped with a glass railing and 7 glass windows, which are part of the floor. Thanks to this, passers-by can safely enjoy the lake and the beautiful natural scenery around.
The hearts on the railings are intended for lovers - they already hang padlocks on them, as a symbol of strong connection. The new wooden structure is about to become a preferred place for evening walks. It is also equipped with energy-saving lights with motion sensors. Video surveillance is about to be installed against possible vandalism.
These days, the Ruse municipality announced that in 2025, the construction of a new Green Park will begin in the Zdravets-Iztok district under a cross-border cooperation project with Romania. The park will include a network of alleys, playgrounds, picnic and event areas, as well as herb garden. The project will be implemented within the next 36 months, the municipality say.
