Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev met with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bulgaria, Nasri Khalil Salim Abu Jaish. Rumen Radev welcomed the agreement reached on a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the hostages. President Radev expressed hope that this would create the necessary conditions for the urgent provision of the necessary humanitarian aid to the civilian population of Gaza, while at the same time guaranteeing the unconditional release of all hostages.

In light of the stages envisaged in the agreement for the release of Israeli hostages, some specific aspects concerning the process for the release of the two Bulgarian citizens and the crew of the Galaxy Leader ship, who have been held by the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen for more than a year, were also discussed, the presidency said.
