Clocks and bells will ring out in the center of Stara Zagora on Saturday, when the city will host the XXIV Masquerade Games Festival. The event will start with a traditional parade of participants.

Attractive babugers, araps, old men and other noisy and colorful characters from all over the country will pass through the central streets of the city from Ruski Blvd. along Tsar Simeon the Great Blvd. to the Municipality building, and from there to the Augusta Trayana forum, where each participant is scheduled to perform.

The festival attracts more and more groups and participants from different ethnographic regions of the country and turns Stara Zagora into a living mummers' stage. This year, the colorful show brings together nearly 700 participants from all over the country. They will call for health and fertility, and thousands of clappers and bells will loudly chase away evil.
