Weather forecast for 11 May

Sunny start, afternoon showers expected

The night will be mostly clear and calm, although scattered rain clouds may appear over south-western Bulgaria before midnight, bringing occasional showers. Overnight lows will range from 5°C to 10°C, around 5°C in Sofia. Sunday will start mostly sunny. In the afternoon, isolated rain clouds will develop, leading to brief showers, especially in the mountainous regions of southwestern Bulgaria. Thunderstorms are also possible. Daytime highs will range from 17°C to 22°C, around 17°C in Sofia.

In the mountains, the morning will be sunny, but cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will build in the afternoon, bringing short, localised showers - especially in the Western Ranges and the Rhodopes. Thunderstorms are possible. Winds will be moderate from west-northwest. Temperatures will peak at around 13°C at 1,200 m and 6°C at 2,000 m.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will remain mostly sunny with some midday clouds, but no rain is expected. Light to moderate south-southeast winds will affect the northern coast. Maximum temperatures and sea temperatures will be between 15°C and 18°C. Sea conditions will be calm, with a condition of 1 to 2.

Monday will be warmer, with highs between 23°C and 28°C, reaching 30°C in the far west. Skies will remain mostly sunny, with some afternoon clouds but little chance of rain.
