Parties whose chairmen or co-chairmen are accused of serious intentional crimes under the Criminal Code would not be able to use state subsidies and have state and municipal offices. This is proposed by the chairman of "DPS - New Beginning" Delyan Peevski with changes to the Political Parties Act. When asked who he was referring to in his proposal, Peevski said: "I am talking about Kiril Petkov (co-chairman of 'We Continue the Change'), Bozhidar Bozanov (co-chairman of 'Yes, Bulgaria' /part of 'Democratic Bulgaria'/) and a number of other individuals.

Yesterday, PP-DB announced that they were proposing legal changes that would allow sanctions under the global Magnitsky Act to be applied in Bulgaria. Peevski was included in the list of those sanctioned under the Magnitsky Act in 2021.
