National Assembly rejects fourth no-confidence motion against Rosen Zhelyazkov's cabinet

The National Assembly rejected the no-confidence motion against the cabinet of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. This was the fourth motion of no confidence against the government, this time citing ''failure in the environment and water sector''. 83 MPs voted in favor, 131 MPs voted against, and none abstained.

64 MPs from GERB-SDS, 19 MPs from BSP, 15 MPs from ''There Is Such a People'' and 29 MPs from ''DPS–New Beginning'' voted against the motion of no confidence. ''MECH'', ''Velichie'', the ''Alliance for Rights and Freedoms'', ''Vazrazhdane'', as well as 17 MPs from the coalition ''We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria'' voted in favor.
The four independent MPs voted against, reported BTA.
