Thousands expected to attend Ardino Days in the Rhodopes

The Rhodope Mountain is pure magic to anyone who has ever laid eyes on the its scenic views or has ever heard any of the legends about it. August 4-10 is a good time to plan a visit to the Western Rhodopes, and more specifically the region of Ardino where Ardino Days are taking place for the 5th time. Thousands are expected to come to Ardino for the festival – guests, as well as people born in Ardino or in some way connected with the town. For them, Ardino municipality has planned a diverse festival week featuring different cultural, gastronomical and sporting events.

The festival programme also includes an exhibition of organic and traditional food from the region, robot and technology demonstrations, sporting events, a theatrical fireworks display, an open-air disco, concerts and exhibitions. 

Ensembles from the regions of Kardzhali, Smolyan, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Razgrad, Russe, Varna and Dobrich will perform authentic folklore. Guests are also expected from the twinned municipalities in Turkiye - Kirklareli, Nilufer (Bursa) and Kartal (Istanbul).

Bikers from the country and abroad will visit some of the most magnificent natural and historical landmarks in the region -  Devil’s Bridge, the Arda meanders, Hladilnika and the Old Mosque in the village of Lyubino.
