The Eastern Rhodopes come to life in the heart of Sofia – with authentic flavoуrs, music and craftsmanship. Residents of the Bulgaria capital have a chance to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Momchilgrad Municipality and its cultural and natural wealth.

The event is held under the motto "Momchilgrad – the heart of the Eastern Rhodopes" on October 4 at Banski Square in central Sofia.

"The location of the event is significant because it is in close proximity to three churches – the Orthodox Church "St. Nedelya", the historic Mosque "Kadi Seyfullah Efendi" and the Catholic Church "St. Joseph", say the organizers from Momchilgrad Municipality.

Within the exhibition, Sofia residents and guests of the capital can try traditional local dishes - vine-curled bells, bathed banitsa, meat specialties and spices from local products. Rhodope producers will present honey, cheese varieties, dried fruits, herbs and handmade products that reflect the richness and authenticity of the local craft.

The opportunities for tourism, accommodation and gourmet experiences in this part of the Eastern Rhodopes will also be presented.

The good mood of everyone is taken care of by famous performers, amateur groups and honorary citizens of Momchilgrad, who will present music and cultural traditions from the international gatherings of Momchilgrad residents, held every year at the end of July.
