A clay pot and a wooden bucket from the village of Momchilovtsi are part of an exhibition at the Milk Museum, which has just opened in Shanghai, the village's mayor, Siika Surkova, told the Bulgarian news agency BTA.
Representatives of the Rhodope village also took part in a Festival of Healthy Living in Shanghai. The Bulgarian group presented the healthy lifestyle of the local community in the Rhodope Mountains, emphasising the role of yoghurt. "Life here is simple. We enjoy beautiful nature, clean air and water. We value family and faith, and we smile often," said Surkova.
Momchilovtsi dairy products are becoming increasingly popular in Shanghai, symbolising a healthy lifestyle and longevity. According to the mayor, a Chinese company sells Momchilovtsi dairy products, including ice cream, in almost all supermarkets in Shanghai and the surrounding area.
While in China, the Bulgarian group discussed ways to attract Chinese tourists to Momchilovtsi and the Rhodope Mountains.
