Four Bulgarian artists — Zhivko Tenev-Gissen, Maya Cholakova, Ivaylo Tsvetkov and Anatoliy Stankulov — have been chosen to take part in the 20th Caratinga International Humor Salon Caratinga 2025 in Brazil, which will run from 21 to 26 October, according to Tenev-Gissen’s team.

Out of 1,200 submissions from 170 countries, an international jury selected 200 pieces to be featured in the official exhibition. The theme for the anniversary edition, “Dreams and Challenges, Hopes and Achievements”, reflects on the human journey, where aspirations and obstacles go hand in hand.

"Life under pressure, with its uncertainties and constant change, requires us to adapt and persevere, turning challenges into opportunities for growth," said Zhivko Tenev-Gissen, as reported by BTA.

Founded two decades ago, the Caratinga forum is one of Latin America’s most prestigious platforms for humorous art. The 20th edition continues its mission of celebrating the universal language of laughter and the connection between art and humanity, uniting creators from around the world through irony, imagination and good spirits.
