Today Orthodox Christians celebrate the moveable feast of Palm Sunday. The Sunday before Resurrection marks the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. He entered the city riding a donkey, a symbol of peace and friendship. The path of the Savior was carpeted with olive, palm and laurel branches, willow, geranium and flowers.
