It is Good Friday

It is Good Friday-the saddest day of the year. On that day our Saviour Jesus Christ stood a lot of sufferings, pain and desecration and was crucified to expiate the sins of mankind. On Good Friday Christians repent of their sins and pay homage to Christ’s sacrifice. They go to church to attend a symbolic funeral procession. People pass under the linen that wrapped the body of Jesus so “they can pass through the tomb of Christ and die to be raised with Christ and gain eternal life in his Kingdom”. Good Friday is a day of fasting for all Christians. Divine sercices are held in all Bulgarian churches on Good Friday.
