The Parliamentary group of GERB party has called on Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov to resign immediately. According to GERB, Minister Stoycho Katsarov is incapable of addressing the Covid-19 crisis. We are demanding Minister Katsarov resignation for several reasons- the failure of the vaccination campaign; the unfair payment methodology regarding the extra pay for frontline medics; the crisis related to the existing quantities of oxygen and Remdesivir medication, said former Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov at a press-conference.
Bulgaria's former Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova added that GERB was against the closure of businesses and new restrictions, if no compensations are guaranteed for these businesses. In her words, Minister Stoycho Katsarov has no plan of action and does not give consideration to the requests of the business.
