Nurses from different cities in the country gathered to protest in the capital, in support of their fired colleague from the General Hospital for Lung Diseases "Saint Sophia". The protest began in front of the hospital, then marched peacefully to the health ministry, where it ended two hours later. Among the protesters was the fired Veselina Gancheva, a member of the Union of Bulgarian Medical Specialists.

According to her, her dismissal was due to a signal submitted to the Labour Inspectorate for unpaid salaries of people who worked over 200 hours of overtime in intensive care.
Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov is expected to meet with the nurses tomorrow.
