From 23 to 30 July, Balchik will once again be venue for the 13th edition of the Classic Days Festival. The event is organised by Academia Clasica Foundation and the municipality of Balchik. Festival director Sava Tikholov is convinced that even the limitations of the pandemic have not weakened people's interest in the most popular music event of the year.

The festival starts with a concert of the Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemble, conducted by Plamen Djurov. The ensemble celebrates 60 years on stage.

Young percussionist Vivi Vassileva, sister of the virtuoso violinist Vasko Vassilev, will also take the stage. On Sunday, the Classic Days will continue with the music of Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra-Dobrich with guest conductor Svetlana Galyanova. On July 26 is the performance "Curiosas in Romanticism" - a syncretic art form combining music, dance and poetry, featuring actress Ioana Bukovska-Davidova, pianist Nadezhda Tsanova prima ballerina Vesa Tonova and principal male dancer of the National Opera Rosen Kanev. On the last night, 30 July, the opera singer Edelina Kaneva, pop singers Orlin Pavlov, Orlin Goranov and State Opera-Burgas will perform "All That Musical!".

All concerts are free of charge and will take place on the open-air stage Melnitsata.
