Sofia has a new spot for curious minds. Phenomena is a museum where science and art come together — a place to experiment, discover, and get hands-on with the wonders of how the world works. Rooted in the spirit of STEAM education — that’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics — the museum blends creativity and discovery in equal measure.

Inside its 500 square metres, more than a hundred interactive exhibits invite you to paint with light, control robots, make music by moving, and explore labs where ideas come alive through light and sound.

There’s plenty for kids too — a special zone where physics and biology turn into games and simple experiments. But Phenomena isn’t just about learning; it’s about feeling inspired. The space also hosts concerts, science shows, and talks with guests from Bulgaria and beyond.

Open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Knyaginya Maria Luiza Boulevard, Phenomena was created by designer and researcher Miryan Kostadinov, who took cues from iconic interactive museums like San Francisco’s Exploratorium — and brought that spirit of curiosity home to Sofia.
