Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova reported at the parliament a new investigation for abuse, related to the Belene NPP project. Former CEOs of the National Electricity Company /NEK/ have decided on their own, without asking for the opinion of the Board of Directors the ordering of long-production-cycle facilities from the JSC Atomstroyexport Russian company, the minister pointed out. In his turn Vice Premier Tomislav Donchev stated that the fate of the unit, produced by Atomstroyexport for the cancelled Belene NPP project would be decided at a trilateral meeting between Bulgaria, Iran and Russia, expected to take place within a month.
