Bulgaria's Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev has told journalists that the country is entering the most active phase of the fourth wave of the coronavirus epidemic, BNR reported. "My expectation is that we will reach maximum levels in October and I hope that some normalization will begin. Otherwise, in terms of anti-epidemic measures, they are still available," Kunchev said. He added that local measures would continue to be introduced in regions with higher levels of morbidity.

According to Angel Kunchev, the circulation of the virus in society is transmitted also among children, but it is lower than the average in society.
