Kozloduy NPP's Unit 6 switched off for scheduled annual maintenance

Unit 6 of Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant will be shut down for scheduled annual maintenance as of today, the NPP’s press service has announced.

The maintenance will include preventive technical maintenance and repairs of the equipment and systems to ensure the unit’s safe and reliable operation, as well as stable energy supplies during the autumn and winter period. The reactor will be reloaded with fresh fuel. The maintenance works are expected to be completed by the end of November. Unit 5 of NPP Kozloduy will operate according to the power generation schedule.
