Bulgarian company "Bulgartransgas" and its Romanian partner "Transgaz" have signed an addendum to a contract from April that concerns the construction of the gas interconnector under the Danube. A planned back-up gas pipeline in addition to the main pipeline, part of the Bulgaria – Romania gas interconnector, is scheduled to be completed in 214 days after opening of the construction site. The length of the pipeline will be 2.1 km and the maximum capacity of the gas link is expected to reach 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
